Job Description:
Vanuatu Beverage Limited is looking for suitable
applicant for the position mentioned above. The Purchasing Manager is
responsible for the continuity of material supply, supplier business
relationship local and overseas, supplies on-time delivery, import management,
and supplier sourcing.
The responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager will be
to:
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received
- Locate suppliers locally and overseas of materials, equipment or supplies, and
interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales
- Prepare and process purchase orders for materials, equipment and supplies
- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with
suppliers
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future
material availability
- Manage import deliveries through Customs and container delivery company, must
have a good knowledge of Customs Clearance process and ASYCUDA and Customs legislations
and regulations
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions,
policies, and procedures
- Participate in the development of specifications for products, equipment and
materials
- Control purchasing department budgets
- Work under the Corporate Department to ensure simple, fast and accurate
reporting and payment processes.
Criteria:
- Graduation: Year 13 + 2 years in Trade
- Experience: + 5 years in Purchasing, stock control and Customs Clearance
- Strong leadership skills; sets goals, establishes priorities, delegates work,
manages resources, develops concepts and approaches, reviews projects progress
and results; makes management decisions
- Reviews department work for quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Ensures compliance with applicable state laws, regulations, and/or company
policies, procedures, work rules, standards and guidelines, etc
- English must, optional French and Bislama spoken, very good computer literacy
(Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
