Role Purpose:
The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of all in country financial and administrative systems, financial reporting and line management of the finance team. He/She will assist external financial relationships (including donors and Live & Learn partners) and participate in the management of quality and risk. A core responsibility is the capacity building of staff to familiarise them with the policies and procedures of the organisation.
Key Areas of Accountability:
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded efficiently and accurately and ensure they are in line with Live & Learn Financial Manual, GPM donors' requirements and reporting deadlines
- Prepare and review budget estimates for projects, and prepare the operating budget for the office. Prepare cash flow forecast in both project and operating levels
- Provide financial management advice on revisions and budgets, preparing periodical forecasts and changes needed
- Monitor petty cash and bank accounts balance and ensure sufficient funds are always available depending on the programme needs
- Monthly financial reporting to head office and donors
- Ensure project advances are settled and reconciled regularly
- Manage fixed asset register in line with donor requirements and the LLEE Finance Manual
- HR responsibilities
- Annual and project audits
- Regular reporting to management, head office, board members
- Liaise with internal and external parties
- Process improvements
- Any other duties assigned by management team or Board.
