opportunities, based at our office in Suva, Fiji:
COUNTRY DIRECTOR: POLYNESIA &
MICRONESIA CLUSTER
The Country Director will contribute to
and implement Oxfam’s Global Strategy, by providing vision and strategic
direction to all of Oxfam’s work in the Polynesia/Micronesia cluster. This
includes Oxfam’s humanitarian responses, long term development program design
and implementation, advocacy and policy and influencing. The role is
responsible and accountable for the strategic direction and effective
management of the cluster program, ensuring development, continued improvement
in quality and impact of programs and effective financial and human resource
management in line with Oxfam policy.
REGIONAL HUMANITARIAN COORDINATOR
The Regional Humanitarian Coordinator
will provide technical advice, support, capacity development and leadership in
the Pacific region to ensure that Oxfam and its partners, are both ready and
able to respond in a timely and professionally competent manner to humanitarian
emergencies. This position will lead on humanitarian response and preparedness
in the Pacific region, and will provide leadership to support all aspects of
preparedness planning, action and systematic review at country and regional
level.
REGIONAL INFLUENCING ADVISOR
Oxfam aims to become a Worldwide
Influencing Network (WIN), linking strong country-level influencing with
regional and global influencing for greater change. The Regional Influencing
Advisor will facilitate the development and implementation of the Worldwide
Influencing Network (WIN) and will facilitate strong influencing, advocacy and
campaigning across the region in line with Oxfam’s regional priorities. This
role will also develop a clear strategy for strengthening and increasing
influencing in Oxfam programs, provide support to countries to transform their
program strategies, and ensure adequate capacity to facilitate the change.
REGIONAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS
ADVISOR
This role will lead Oxfam’s media and
communications work at a regional level with a focus on three key areas –
media, social media and content gathering and distribution. The role will
profile Oxfam’s work in the Pacific in national, regional and global media and
deliver high-quality media projects and compelling story-gathering materials.
In addition, the role will provide strategic media, communications and social
media advice to senior-level staff at regional and country level on a
day-to-day basis in the development of plans, matters of brand risk and to
maximise communications impact and will present media skills training to our
teams.
