Freshwater Plantation is seeking applications from interested candidates for the position mentioned.
Freshwater Plantation is a 300 acre cocoa plantation
on Aore Island, Santo. Our product is day tours, lunches and special event
meals.
Role:
- Prepare lunches for day tour guests and locals
- Prepare meals for special events from time to time
- Fully run the kitchen on head chef's days off
- Assist head chef other days
Staff transport to/from work provided.
Criteria:
- Previous relevant experience of at least 5 years and
qualification in food preparation and kitchen work
- Good English essential
- Be punctual, neat and tidy and maintain high level of hygiene
- Assist the head chef to create menus from fresh local produce on season
- Particular experience with making bread, cakes, pastries preferred
- Should be confident within all sections in kitchen operations
- Possess good interpersonal skills; Be very customer focused
- Be a team player and work well under pressure
- As we are a small tourism company, non-kitchen work will be required at slow
times depending on your skills (eg. housekeeping or building work).
