The Vanuatu Red Cross Society, working jointly with the support of the French Red Cross, is seeking applications from dynamic and highly motivated persons to immediately fill up the following position as part of its VRCS management team.
Criteria:
Applicants are required to demonstrate the following:
Minimum 1 year experience of project management if
possible in the field of DRR
1 to 3 year(s) of experience in the field required
will be preferred
Demonstrate experience and competencies in at least
two (2) of the following sectors:
- Community based programs
- Capacity building/training and awareness
- Monitoring and evaluation of project activities
- Hygiene promotion
- Disaster risk reduction activities
- Skills in training and awareness
- University graduate in one of these sectors or field related will be an asset
- Skills in documenting information and packaging it for wider sharing with other DRR partners
- Skills in audience analysis and strategic communication
- Ability and flexibility to travel regularly, particularly in the Malampa and Torba Provinces, will be expected to spend several stays of few weeks in the islands
- Excellent Computer skills (Internet, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Open-minded, dynamic and flexible
- Bislama and English required
- Knowledge of Red Cross movement will be an asset.
