ActionAid is recruiting a Provincial Manager to lead
the third phase of its Women-Led Protection Program. Based in Tafea Province,
with regular travel to Port Vila, the provincial manager provides overall
leadership of the Women I Tok Tok Toketa forums at provincial level. The forums
are designed to strengthen the voices of rural women in informing government policies
and services and supporting women’s leadership in disaster preparedness and
response. We are looking for a leader with proven experience in working with
communities, a commitment to women’s rights and strong community organising and

Criteria:
- At least 5 years’ experience in leadership and
management of development and or humanitarian work
- Previous experience in programme management and implementation, preferably
working with communities in emergency response settings
- Local understanding of context and previous experience working with women and
communities in Vanuatu
- A commitment to promoting women’s rights and leadership in emergency response
- An understanding of ActionAid’s Human Rights Based Approach and the ability to
operationalise this through program responses
- Strong community facilitation and communication skills
- Proven capacity to develop relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
including communities, donors, government, CSOs and INGOs
- Ability to manage and motivate volunteers working towards a common vision and
goals.
