ActionAid is currently recruiting a Country Program Manager for its
Women-Led Protection Program that was initiated following Cyclone Pam in
partnership with the Department of Women’s Affairs. The program has created safe spaces for women to organise and strengthen
their collective voice on gender and protection issues. It also aims to
build women’s resilience and support their leadership in disaster preparedness
and response.
Criteria:
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience in program management,
including 5 years in development or humanitarian work
- She will also have
an understanding of the local context and a strong commitment to women’s
rights, as well as proven capacity to develop relationships
- She will be
a strong communicator, able to motivate a small team and drive a human rights
based approach to development.
