Job Description:
The Shefa Provincial Council wishes to recruit a suitable person to fill in the position mentioned above.
Responsibilities:
- To
represent Shefa Province in Climate Change related activities including
training sessions with Government Department and Donor Partners
- To
hold Climate Change Awareness in rural communities and formulate adaptation
plans for communities such as Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries, Food
Security, Tourism, Youth Gender, Community development and Education
- Travel
to Area Councils and assess related CC Project request and write project
proposals to implement CC activities within the Province
- To
actively seek funding and help to administrate projects with adaptation components
including water and Food Security, Disaster Risk Reduction and improvement to
infrastructure within the Province
- Formulate
monitoring and evaluation plans of CC Projects funded by Government and Donor
Partner organization
- Work
with NAB and PMU to produce annual report to CC related activities occurring in
the Province Produce
Quarterly Report to your Superior and the Council.

Criteria:
- 2
to 3 Years Experience in working in the fields of Climate Change Adaptation,
Meteorology or Disaster Risk Reduction
- Completion
of Year 13 and/or University level degree in Climate Change related field
- Computer
literate, proficient with Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
- Has
working experience with community based organizations
- Project
design and Business Planning experience for development projects.
