Job Description: 
The Vanuatu Red Cross Society, working jointly with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross
And Red Crescent Societies, is seeking applications for a dynamic and highly motivated person to immediately
Fill Warehouse Assistant position as part of its VRCS team.

        Criteria:
        Qualifications and profile:
        • Educated to undergraduate degree level and/or can demonstrate equivalent intellectual capacity
        • (Minimum Year 11 or Year 12 graduate)
        • Professional qualification or equivalent of qualifying experience in logistics
        • Minimum two (2) years professional experience in a relevant position is preferred
        • Highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
        • Women are strongly encouraged to apply

        Experience:
        • Good mental and physical health
        • Experience of supervising and supporting staff or labourers
        • Experience of working with the Red Cross/Red Crescent preferred
        • Experience of working for a humanitarian/non profit-making organisation

        Knowledge & skills:
        • Advanced skills in computers (window, word processing, spread sheets etc)
        • Fluency in written and spoken English and Bislama
        • Exceptional level of patience and able to work long hours
        • Strong negotiation skills
        • Ability to detect and resist potential fraud
        • Documentation preparation and filing skills
        • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bislama
        • Independent, ability to work under pressure
        • Ability to deliver unfavourable news to unsuccessful suppliers/providers
        • Adaptable in multi-cultural work environment
        • Knowledge of the Red Cross movement will be an asset
        • Sensitive to cultural and regional issues
