The University of the South Pacific, Distance & Flexible Learning (DFL) at Emalus Campus wished to hire Accountant.

The appointee will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Emalus Campus Finance Department. The incumbent will ensure the sound management of the finance of the campus at an operational level and have day to day responsibilities of the budgetary control and management systems. She/He will ensure and maintain compliance with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures and meet all key financial University deadlines and requirement in terms of planing and reporting.

Criteria:
  • To be considering for this position, applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of relevant and practical experience in a medium to large organization
  • Experience in multitasking and working within tight and stick deadlines
  • Computer literate and well versed with MS office software package practical knowledge of MYOB, excel spread sheet and other computerized accounting system including Banner
  • Strong Supervisory skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
Salary:
The Position is available for term of 3 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement. Salary Range: Band 2 VUV 3,295,198 to VUV 3,954,237 per annum (inclusive of 15% Gratuity)
