Job Description: 
The Government of Vanuatu through the ministry of Tourism, Trade, Industry & Ni-Vanuatu Business, is advertising the position of the Register of Patents, Trademarks and designs in the Vanuatu Intellectual Property Office( VanIPO)
Legal Requirement for the Appointed of a Registrar
Section 95 of the Trademarks Act No.1 of 2002, section 51 of the Patents Act No.2 of 2003 and section 70 of the Designs Act No.3 of 2003 require that the Council of Minister.

        Criteria: 
        The Registrar Patents, Trademarks and Designs must possess the following qualification, criteria and skills:
        • Be a Ni-Vanuatu with a minimum degree in the field of law from a recognized tertiary institution
        • Have at least 3 years’ experience in the implementation of the IP law and office management
        • Knowledgeable in intellectual Property laws of Vanuatu and international IP Conventions
        • Able to represent Vanuatu in international IP conference and IP negotiations
        • Able to provide legal advice on the IP laws & regulation to the Vanuatu Government & other stakeholders
        • Experience in public consultations and training in IP laws
        • Be computer literate and able to use the IPO Tee or similar registration datatbase
        • Must be professional, competent and diligent in all aspects of work and behaviours towards clients, staff, colleagues and senior officers
        • Experience in administration functions
        • Must be fluent in either English, French or Bislama.
