Job Description:


A vacancy exists for an operations officer with Pacific Aviation Safety Office (PASO). PASO is a Regional Organization providing aviation safety and security oversight services to 13-member countries around the Pacific Region. The position of Operations Officer is to support the technical operations team responsible for aviation safety and security oversight for PASO.

Duties Include
  • Develop and implement plans to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manage technical and record keeping for surveillance and compliance requirements for the members states and aviation industry organizations
  • Coordinate task request from the member states of PASO
  • Support the Coordination and administration of the regional pool of inspectors
  • Set up and manage PASO technical library including cataloging technical documentation
  • Develop Sub-Contracting Agreements and record keeping of CV’s for the technical pool of inspectors
  • Maintain a detailed record of oversight services conducted by the PASO inspectors
  • Maintenance of record and reports relating to technical oversight activities carried out by PASO inspectors.
Criteria:
  • We seek a person with a mature attitude and good work ethic who will be prepared to work as part of a small professional team including expatriate and local staff.
  • The applicant must be of excellent character and highly computer literate and familiar with Microsoft office.
  • A University graduate is preferred but the good general high school education with appropriate work experience and a great attitude may also be accepted.
