Criteria:
Qualifications And Profile:
- University degree in a built environment related discipline
(e.g. Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, information
Management), OR disaster risk management, OR a related field experience in
training and mentoring others.
- At least three year experience in programme implementation,
(Preferable with exposure in the international aid sector)
- Liaising and working with a variety of stakeholders such as
government, Institutional, Non-for Profit, Community, Private sector,
institutional
- Experience working in Red Cross or Red Crescent National
Society and /or IFRC or ICRC
- Experience in facilitating and supporting network of
practitioners
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding
of emergency shelter preparedness and response in the pacific context
- Demonstrated
skills in analytical and strategic thinking and problem solving
- Open
to learning and committed to acting on learning and sharing experience, both
positive and negative
- Commitment
to utilizing local community knowledge
- Ability
to balance tenacity with patience
- Programme
management skills
- Able
to work autonomously under stressful condition and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent
interpersonal, communication and network skills
- Willing
and ability to travel internationally, including deploying to support disaster
relief operations where appropriate
- Self-supporting in computer (windows, Spreadsheets,word processing,email)
