Job Description:
Airports Vanuatu Limited (AVL) wishes to recruit a highly motivated person to become Manager Engineering at Bauerfield International Airport in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

The Manager Engineering reports directly to General Manager Infrastructure and is responsible to assist the General Manager Infrastructure to:
  • providing Senior management advice on airport operations, planning, project management, procurement and maintenance
  • Advising AVL on their airports operational compliance with ICAO and Civil Aviation Authority Vanuatu rules and standards
  • Fostering professional skills and attitudes among AVL staff.
The above position is a management position within the company and requires a person of high integrity with a wide range of management skills.

        Criteria:
        • A strong background in Civil, Environmental and Structural Engineering, Architecture, Project planning, Project Management or related field
        • A good general education preferably with tertiary education in Civil Engineering and project planning and management
        • Understanding of airport operations and infrastructure and employment/Labour laws
        • Strong organizational development, managerial and leadership skills.

              Salary:

              		The position commands an attractive remuneration package, which will be set dependent upon qualification and experience.
