Job Description:
The Vanuatu Christian Council (VCC) is the peak body of the Christian churches in Vanuatu. It serves its member churches and their congregations by providing a forum for discussion, sharing and planning on matters of mutual concern.

VCC is seeking a Coordinator for their Church Disaster Working Group & Protection Working Group. This is a full-time position, due to start 6 January 2016 for an initial 6-month contract. There is the possibility of extension of this contract, depending on funding. 

We are seeking for someone who meets the following requirements.

Criteria:
  • Previous experience in working with groups to plan and complete community activities
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills
  • Confidence in leading meetings and speaking with a diverse group of members
  • Good reporting skills in written English
  • Initiative and self-motivation to meet deadlines and motivate others
  • Good computing skills in Excel and Word
  • Previous experience working in disaster risk reduction or protection an advantage.
