The Australia - Vanuatu
Governance for Growth Program, under the Australian High Commission is calling
for applications from appropriately qualified individuals to fill the position
of Program Manager, Recovery (PMR). The PMR will join a team of four staff to
support the Senior Program Manager and the Counsellor (Governance for Growth)
to deliver Australia’s Tropical Cyclone Pam recovery program, led by the
Vanuatu Government, to the tourism, agriculture, trade and private sectors of
Vanuatu. The PMR position will be on a fixed term contract period of two years
with the possibility of extension for 12 months.
Criteria:
- Analytical skills, including
the ability to develop and implement programs in a strategic context and a good
understanding of the economic, political, social and cultural issues in
development
- Program management skills, with supporting skills in finance management,
contract management, record keeping and program data management
- Sound computing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce
high-quality briefing and analytical reporting on program performance
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships, represent
and negotiate on behalf the Australian High Commission
- Sound judgment, problem-solving skills and initiative. Strong teamwork, leadership
and staff management skills as appropriate.
