We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in Tanna,
Tafea Province.
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of the
“Yumi Redi long Klaemet Jenis” (We’re ready for Climate Change) project, an
18-month project which purpose is to increase the resilience of small island
communities to climate change in Tafea Province.
You are a strong program manager and leader who is passionate about
building communities’ resilience to climate change, have an understanding
of gender equality and women’s empowerment and a commitment to CARE’s
approach and values including diversity and cultural sensitivity.
Your major responsibilities will be varied and will include:
- Lead the
implementation and direction of the project in accordance with the community
needs, the project documentation, CARE standards and relevant climate change
policies and strategies endorsed by the Government of Vanuatu.
- Ensuring at all times the project is
supporting and promoting gender equality
and the meaningful engagement of women, girls, youth and people living with a
disability.
- Manage project
partner relationships, including the contractual arrangements
- Represent CARE and
the project partners in all relevant forums including at government, province and any
inter-agency meetings.
- Effectively manage
the performance of the team as a whole and individually, ensuring
expectations and goals are clear and communicated to all team members including
any volunteers.
