PHAMA is an Australian and New Zealand Government funded aid-for-trade program, operating in six countries throughout the Pacific (Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu) and PNG. PHAMA 's goal is to increase exports of high value primary products, thereby contributing to increased economic growth, private sector development and improved rural livelihoods in predominantly agriculture-based small country economies.
URS, the managing contractor of PHAMA, is seeking a proactive individual for the role of National Coordinator (NC) in Vanuatu. The NC will provide administrative and secretariat support to the Market Access Working Group and Industry Working Groups, including providing strategic guidance on identifying, prioritising and budgeting for activity work planning and implementation. The successful candidate will be part of a local project Office in Port Vila, working in liaison with the Program Management Office for PHAMA which is based in Suva, Fiji.
Working as part of a regionally-based team, the successful candidate will have sound administrative and financial management skills and a proven ability to respond to and manage program risks and issues in a timely and effective manner.
