Oxfam's EFSVL team is designing and implementing a wide rage of livelihoods, protection and recovery activities across the country. The team utilizes and supports market sensitive and sustainable programming, and demonstrates an awareness of gender, human rights and humanitarian accountability. The coordinator will provide operational and strategic leadership to the EFSVL team through planning and assessment, and the implementation, monitoring and evaluation program. The role will entail a high degree training and support to the EFSVL team.
Criteria:
- Bachelor degree in social sciences, agriculture, economics, or other discipline relating to emergency food security and vulnerable livelihoods
- Relevant experience in the food security and livelihood sector; including a strong technical background, experience of community mobilization work, and people management experience
- The ability to think strategically and to present concise reports and technical advice, sometimes a short notice, reflecting the problems and possible solutions for particular situations
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian programs; including demonstrated capacity to lead market assessments and knowledge of market support interventions
- Demonstrated experience of integrating gender and diversity issues and community engagement into food security and livelihoods programs and evidence of an active commitment to promoting gender equality.
