The National Archives of
Vanuatu is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill in the position
of “Finance
Officer”.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare
and maintain budgets forecast
- Manage
cash flow and reconciliation
- Provide
and analyze monthly/annual financial report
- Prepare
payroll, VNPF, and other payments.
- Manage
assets and inventory register.
- Manage
staff timesheets.
- Manage
and prepare end of year audit and assist external auditor with audit
- Carry
out any other Library or Archives tasks as requested by the Chief
Archivist/Chief Librarian of the National Library & Archives of Vanuatu
Criteria:
- The
applicant should hold a diploma or certificate in Finance, Accounting, Business
Studies or other relevant tertiary qualifications in a recognized institution
- Strong
level of MYOB skills
- A
minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in financial management, auditing, budgeting,
MYOB accounting is envisaged.
- Proficiency
in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
- Prioritizing/time
management/meeting datelines
- The
suitable person must have fair knowledge and understanding of the National
Library & National Archives
- Excellent
working knowledge of English and fair knowledge of French language would be an
advantage.
- Ability
to work as part of the National Library & Archives team.
- The
suitable candidate must be able to work under very minimal supervision and work
under pressure.
