Job Description:
World Vision Vanuatu is a development organization that works to transform communities through multi-sectoral community based programs. Over the past 33 years - working to the development priorities of the Vanuatu Government - World Vision Vanuatu has worked in partnership with communities to deliver critical services in health, education, humanitarian emergency, water and sanitation, gender and rural livelihoods. At the heart of our approach is ensuring that the services we deliver are relevant, cost-effective and make a lasting difference.
Through funding provided by the Australian Government, the New Zealand Government and private donors, we are recruiting for a Development Manager/Technical Lead for the "Tanna Agriculture Developmemnt Project". This role will be based in the World Vision Office in Tanna - Tafea Province.
The Key functions of this role are to:
1. Coordinate integrated sector programming for an assigned geographical area (ie. ward, area council, zone, etc. depending on te province) including budgeting, planning, implementation and reporting.
2. Manage Development Facilitators, ensuring deliver of quality services in the community.
3. Work in partnership with communities to ensure that World Vision is delivering relevant quality programs.
The ideal candidate should:
Criteria:
Competencies
- Higher education and or qualification
- Strong knowledge and experience in Project Management
- Knowledge and experience working on Agriculture Development Projects
- Knowledge and experience working on Economic Development Projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication and relational skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Experience of managing staff ideally across remote location
- Ability to develop staff capacity
- Basic computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
