| | The Port Vila Municipal Council wishes to recruit for its head office a Principal Town Planner. The purpose for this recruitment is for the Principal Town Planner to assist the Manager Town Planning to Develop and implement a systematic approach to implementing tasks that are outlined in the PVMC business Plan taking into consideration budget allocation for each task and the |
| | distribution of budget for each quarter as well. |

| | This post will report directly to the manager of town Planning and Building Division. |
| | The duties and responsibilities for this post can be obtained from the Town Hall Office of the Supervisor of the Human Resources. |

| | Eligible candidate for this post would be required to posses the following qualification and skills; |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Have a Diploma/Degree in Town and Country planning or Physical Planning. |
| | - Sound knowledge and a vbackground in Physical planning specifically zoning and control development plan. |
| | - Be able to use MapInfo or other mapping software. |
| | - Be able to read maps. |
| | - Be computer literate. |
| | - Have good negotiation skills and be open minded. |
| | - Be a good team leader |
| | - Be able to liaise and maintain a good working relationship with the stakeholders of the Council specifically those of the Town Planning and Building division of the council. |
