| | Job Description: |
| | The National Diaster Management Office in partnership with UNDP Pacific Risk Resilient Programme and INGO partner Live and learn Vanuatu, seeks to recruit a suitably qualified Vanuatu Nationals for the following positions to be base at the Malampa and Sanma Provinces of Vanuatu. |

| | 1. Malampa Provincial Diaster and Climate Change Officer. |
| | |
| | 2. Sanma Provincial Diaster and Climate Change Officer. |
| | |

| | Key functions include: |
| | - Coordinate preparedness for, response to and recovery from emergencies and diaster in the provinces |
| | - Assist with organizing training and workshops for the Provincial Diaster and Climate Change Committe (PDCCC) members. |
| | - Work with stake holders to develop, monitor and maintain Community Diaster and Climate Change Committees (CDCCC's) and facilitate community based DRM and adaptation activities in selected communities. |
| | - Identify training needs at provincial and community levels and facilitate training to address these needs, and |
| | - Other task as directed by the Secretary Generals, Director NDMO, Opertaions Manage, Senior Provincial Officers. |

| | Minimum Qualifications and Experience: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Year 12 Leaver or Diploma in Diaster or Public Administration, Diasters and Climate - Change related risk, Governance, Environmental studies or related field or revelant work experience. |
| | - Proficient in written and spoken English and Bislama, with an advantage, and |
| | - At least 1 year experience working in emergency or diaster related field within Vanuatu. |
