| | The department of Local Authorities [DLA] in partnership with UNDP Pacific Risk Resilient Programme and INGO partner Live and Learn. |
| | - Vanuatu seeks to recruit a suitably qualified Vanuatu Nationals for the following position to be based with the Department of Local Authorities in Port Vila. |

| | Key Functions Include: |
| | - Prepare training materials on the basis of the integrated planning, budgeting and monitoring guidelines developed by the international consultant, Risk Governance and Capacity Building. |
| | - Support the Sub-national Government (Village Council, Area Council and Provincial Government) in the piloting of the draft integrated planning, budgeting and monitoring guidelines. |
| | - The consultant will work closely with the Provincial Administration to improve the long term strategies and intergrate CCA and DRR factors, where it has been already developed. |
| | |

| | Minimum Qualifications and Experience: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - At least 7 years' experience in the management and implementation of diaster risk management and permitting processes, planning, budgeting and monitoring at sub-national level. |
| | -Advanced University Degree in Management, Social Sciences or discipline relavant to diaster risk management and/or climate change would be highly desirable. |
| | - Expertise in designing training materials and delivering trainings to Government staff. |
| | - Excellent writing and drafting skills, Experience of working within Government system is an advantage, Fluency in English (written and oral) is essential. |
