| Job Description: |
| Save the Children is Australia’s leading independent humanitarian relief and development organisation for children, working in 120 countries around the world. We protect and support children in need. We save lives in emergencies. We stand up for children’s rights. We are currently seeking qualified and suitable candidates for these two positions. |
| The overall goal of the Save the Children Vanuatu Health Program is to support ensuring that ‘All people in Vanuatu (especially children and young people) have equitable access to curative and preventive health services which operate effectively, efficiently, and equitably for the good health and wellbeing of communities’. |
| The Health Program currently consists of two main areas: the Village Health Worker Program (VHWP), and a Sexual Reproductive Health program, this latter is due to transition into a more child focused health intervention. |
| The Health Program Manager will: |
| • Provide managerial oversight of current and future health programs, work with individual program managers and staff to guide and manage program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and reporting. |
| • Liaise with government, donors, regional and national technical and partner agencies to communicate the program’s outcomes, and identify opportunities to strategically develop the program further. |

| Criteria: |
| - Demonstrated ability to project manage complex and inter-connected health projects with restricted capacity, on time and within budge |
| - Confidence in relationship building, influencing and well developed interpersonal skills and ability to present to a diverse range of people, stakeholders and media personne |
| - Strong time management and organizational skills |
| - Experience of health project design, and development of proposals, including log frames and budgets (essential) |
| - Previous experience of overseeing baseline surveys and M&E systems (essential) |
| - Highly developed communication, training facilitation and collaboration skills |
| - Demonstrated cross-cultural awareness and abilies |
| - Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline |
| - Bislama language abilities (desirable) |
| - The ability to speak and write English as a primary working language |
| - Experience in integrated programming with Government health system |
| - Experience in systems strengthening approaches |
| - Prior NGO experience including working with local NGO partners, highly desirable |
| - Commitment to and experience of building the capacity of others. |
