| | Telecom Vanuatu Limited is eeking a Transmission Technician to be based in Port Vila. This position reports directly to the Manager Transmission and involves working with a broad range of functional teams. |
| | |
| | Duties and Responsibilities: |
| | 1)To ensure regular maintenance of engineering and operations of the microwave and optical transmission network in order to ensure adequate grade of service |
| | 2)To recommand improvements to the transmission equipment both microwave and fiber when required |
| | 3)To assist in the installation, maintenance and supervision of the satellite transmission network including the earth station and customer stations |
| | 4)To ensure that all Engineering Practices are carried out according to TVL and International Standards |
| | 5)To carry our other task assigned by the transmission manager. |

| | The applicant must have the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Creative and experienced Technician; Telecommunication who will be responsible for the maintenance and supervision of the microwave and optical transmission network and other transmission networks throughout |
| | the remote islands of Vanuatu, and ensure that a quality networks is maintained to provide quality service to TVL |
| | - A Bachelor's Degree in telecommunication Engineering or equivalent with minimum of 3 years experience in RF Engineering, and some knowledge in satellite communications is required. |
| | - Be able to work with a team to accomplish projects and solving major issues, have a strong leadership skill, have excellent customer care skills, can communicate in English and some Knowledge in French is also required |
| | - Expert knowledge in the use of test equipment; Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Signal Generators, BER testers and so on. |
