| Applications are invited for the position of General Manager Human Resources with Air Vanuatu (Operations) Limited. The position will be based at Air Vanuatu House, Port Vila, Vanuatu. The position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. |

| Applicants must be suitably qualified for this position and meet the following criteria: |
| Criteria: |
| - 7-10 years of progressively responsible positions in line management including at least 1-2 years at an executive level; Business or human resources management experience; Experience supervising and managing staff; |
| Experience in change management |
| - Degree in human resources management or equivalent business related field; Strong and effective communicator using written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills; Highly developed team work skills |
| - Ability to handle sensitive information and have an excellent understanding of confidentiality; Able to direct the efforts of a team of diverse human resource professionals; Demonstrate ability to increase productivity and |
| continuously improve methods, approaches and departmental contribution whilst remaining cost-sensitive |
| - High level of expertise in employment law and employment relations; Ability to provide high level strategic advice and input across all areas of the company as part of the senior executive management team; Have |
| excellent change management and organizational development skills; Experience working in a flexible, employee empowering work environment |
| - High level computer skills including human resources database programs, microsoft office suite and file management systems; International work experience and/or previous employment in the airline industry is |
| desirable; Demonstrated counseling, communication, problem solving and negotiation experience and skills; Excellent organizational and planning skills; Flexibility to work a variety of hours to suit business demands, |
| including weekends when required; Thorough understanding and experience in staff training, succession planning and salary/payroll management; Excellent oral, written and communication skills required. |
