| | The Vanuatu Women's Centre (VWC) is a well-established organisation organisation, empowering women and girls through the provision of counselling and advocacy services, community awareness, legal literacy and training, and research activities throughout Vanuatu. VWC has branches that reach out into the remote areas in the provinces of SANMA, TORBA and TAFEA. The VWC is |

| | Key Responsibilities: |
| | 1) Identify reseach needs and target groups for research relevant to centre's work |
| | 2) Organise and lead surveys conducted by the centre |
| | 3) Access, collate & analyse data on violence against women and girls |
| | 4) Develop and manage accurate data systems for the centre |
| | 5) Collate information kits on various centre issues for students and the general public |
| | 6) Provide training and support on data collection and analysis to VWC's island based committees against violence against women and girls |
| | 7) Disseminate key research findings |
| | 8) Produce information brochures based on research findings. |
| | Key attributes: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Degree in an appropriate area is desirable; Commitment and sensitivity to issues if violence against women and girls |
| | - Proven research experience particularly in participatory and feminist research desirable |
| | - Demonstrate competence in a variety of computer applications; excel and words essential; Ability to work with diverse groups of people |
| | - Fluency in English and Bislama; Demonstrate good communication skills, both oral and written |
| | - Resourceful, ability to work with minimum supervision. |
