World Vision is seeking an experienced person for the role of Project Officer - Disaster Risk Reduction |

| The key functions of this role are to: |
| 1) Implement the project in line with the annual plan to ensure the project achieves envisaged outcomes |
| 2) Work in close partnership with key stakeholders such as community members, church leaders and local government |
| 3) Ensure that budget is expended to purpose |
| 4) Monitor the regular progress of the project and work with communities to collect their stories of change. |
| Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| Criteria: |
| - The ideal candidate will have had at least three years experience of implementing projects with a focus on disaster risk reduction |
| - The ability to engage in participatory development is critical as is the ability to build effective working relationship with a range of stakeholders |
| - We are looking for somebody who, a) can work independently as well as be a team-player, b) can build effective relationships with our communities, c) is well organised, d) is computer literate, e) can communicate well |
| in English and Bislama. |
