| | The Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-hazard Department (VGMD) and National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) have secured funding for a large-scale national adaptation and disaster risk reduction project designed to address Vanuatu’s immediate climate change adaptation needs and natural disaster risks. |
| | The M&E Advisor will work with the PMU M&E Officer to develop M&E processes for the newly established NAB (National Advisory Board for Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction). |
| | The M&E specialist will be contracted initially for 6 months and be based in the Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Project Management Unit within VMGD. |

| | The successful applicant will have: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Minimum 5 years of experience in similar monitoring and evaluation or related field; Background in program/project effectiveness |
| | - Experience in conducting evaluations and reviews |
| | - Familiarity with World Bank or other donor M&E requirements |
| | - Proven ability to mentor and train staff in all aspects of monitoring and evaluating projects |
| | - Good knowledge of development issues in Vanuatu; Experience in the Pacific Region. |
