| The position of the Child Protection and Child Participating Officer will: |
| Support Save the Children staff to introduce meaningful participation by children and young people into our programs |
| Work with the Child Protection Team to ensure that children in Vanuatu are better protected by informed and coordinated child protection stakeholders, community members and leaders. |
| Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| Criteria: |
| - Experience in working with children and an understanding of the development needs of children; Great training and facilitation skills |
| - Experience in community development interventions, especially liaising with a range of people including community leaders |
| - Knowledge of types and impacts of child abuse; A basic understanding of elements of the project management cycle |
| - Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bislama and English so you can talk about Child Protection issues confidently with our stakeholders |
| - Ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks while working in a fast paced environment and to strict deadlines. |
