| | Subject to final funding approval, the Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-hazards Department (VMGD) seeks staff and short term contractors to be part of its new Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Project Management Unit (PMU) and implement key activities funded under the EU-Global Climate Change Alliance – Vanuatu project. Duration: 3 |

| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) To provide technical support for the collection of data on agricultural sector adaptation practices in Vanuatu |
| | 2) The Contractors will prepare draft materials and activity guides for climate adaptation techniques in agriculture, livestock and forestry, and present to extension officers at the Calibration Workshop for Collecting Data on Agricultural Sector Adaptation Practices on Tanna in 2013. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - A university degree in a field directly relevant to agriculture, livestock or forestry, or equivalent experience pertinent to the envisaged assignment |
| | - A minimum of seven years relevant professional experience, including proven experience with developing and training in climate adaptation strategies for livestock, agriculture and forestry |
| | - Word processing skills |
| | - Proficiency in English and Bislama or French. |
