| | Subject to final funding approval, the Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-hazards Department (VMGD) seeks staff and short term contractors to be part of its new Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Project Management Unit (PMU) and implement key activities funded under the EU-Global Climate Change Alliance – Vanuatu project. | | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | To develop a template for “lessons learned” and adaptation best practices, and produce at least 10 stand-alone best practice profiles from key National Advisory Board partners including GIZ, Mescal, Red Cross, VMGD and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. |

| | - A university degree, diploma or courses in a field directly relevant to the tasks stipulated above and climate change adaptation or equivalent experience pertinent to the envisaged assignment |

| | - Proficiency in English and Bislama or French. |
