| | The Vanuatu NGO Climate Change Adaptation Program brings together a consortium of NGOs (Oxfam, Save the Children, CARE, Vanuatu Red Cross, VRDTCA and GIZ) to support communities build their adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change. The program will implement a range of adaption projects, inform adaptation policy and practice and |
| | increase collaboration across the NGO sector and between NGOs and government stakeholders. Only applications submitted on the application form for this position will be accepted. This position is open to Vanuatu National candidates only. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | Will support the Adaptation Program Manager in all aspects of managing the program and providing support to the consortium. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Proven experience in managing project – preferably in the field of community based adaptation or a related field; An understanding of climate change and how it impacts on communities |
| | - Facilitation skills and preferably experience in collaborative programs and networks; Experience in liaising with communities, governments and donors |
| | - An understanding of gender equity and how to integrate principles of gender equity into program work |
| | - Experience in managing budgets; Analytical and report writing skills |
| | - Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. |
