| | The Department of Finance and Treasury is seeking an outstanding person to fill the position of Budget Manager, Post No. 3502 at P15/17 in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management. |

| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Will be to manage the Government budget process, and coordinate the preparation of annual budget documents |
| | 2) Analyse, and report on, the overall level of, and trends in, Government debt and revenue and expenditure flows, against established fiscal targets |
| | 3) Review revenue proposals, and expenditure initiatives and savings, and advise on their impact upon established fiscal targets |
| | 4) Coordinate and manage the work of subordinate staff. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - A degree, preferably at honours level, masters or higher postgraduate degree a Economics, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline; Senior Government experience in provision of budget policy |
| | advice, planning and control |
| | - Experience in reviewing spending programs in large and complex organisation; Quantitative and analytical skills of higher order |
| | - Strong spreadsheet skills (e.g. excel); Analytical and creative; Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to prepare and deliver training programs |
| | - An understanding of the government financial computer system features and procedures |
| | - Fluent in English or French and Bislama; Honest, reliable and of good character. |

| | An annual salary of VT2, 469,600. |
