| | The National Advisory Board on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (NAB) is Vanuatu’s principal policy making and advisory body for disaster risk reduction and climate change programs and activities. The NAB seeks highly motivated and dedicated people to join its newly established Project Management Unit based in the Vanuatu |
| | Meteorology and Geo-Hazards department in Port Vila. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of a large-scale National Adaption and disaster Risk Reduction Project designed to address Vanuatu’s immediate climate change adaption needs and mitigate natural disaster risks. Contract is for one year, renewable up to three years. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | Will manage finances and ensure transparent, timely cost effective delivery of NAB-endorsed climate change and disaster risk reduction projects in accordance with Government and donor financial management requirements. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Extensive experience with finance administration/management and a demonstrated track record in such position-previous experience with donor financed programs and contract management would |
| | be desirable |
| | - A university qualification in accounting or financial administration/management or other relevant field |
| | - An excellent understanding of Government finance procedures and processes; Ability to prepare clear, concise reports |
| | - Fluency in Bislama and English, with French an advantage. |
| | Salary: |
| | The salary will be in the range of 140,000 to 160,000VUV/month commensurate with skills and experience. |
