| | GRM International and the Vanuatu Law and Justice Partnership Program (VLIP) – Stretem Rod Blong Jastis – are seeking a Monitoring Officer to work with the VLIP team and the Ministry of Justice and Community Services (MoJCS). |
| | VLIP is an AusAID funded program which started in March this year and is designed to provide sector wide support to the Vanuatu law and justice sector. Its focus is on assisting the MoJCS to support the agencies and organisations under its auspices that provide services to the community. That support targets coordination, communication, planning |
| | and monitoring, as well as capacity development and support for evidence-based policy development. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) With the support of the VLIP Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, the Monitoring Officer will work with the MoJCS and Government of Vanuatu legal sector agencies to collect and analyse data |
| | 2) Undertake research that will support the MoJCS to develop new policies |
| | 3) Assist the MoJCS in the development and implementation of effective systems to strengthen the monitoring of the law and justice sector |
| | 4) Assist the MoJCS with communications and public relations. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Hold a degree or have had experience in public policy, public administration, law or a related field |
| | - Previous experience in research, policy development and monitoring will be highly regarded. |
| | Salary: |
| | The successful candidate will receive a forthnightly salary (inclusive of VNPF) of between Vt 95,000 and Vt 115,000 depending on the qualification and relevant work experience held by the individual. |
