| The Invasive Species Project aims to conserve biodiversity in Vanuatu and the Western Pacific by containing the spread of invasive species, particularly those which are currently affecting the livelihoods of remote and rural communities. The project models community and policy-based approaches to enhance management of invasive species |
| threatening village based agriculture and native forests in the context of biodiversity conservation and food security. |
| Duties and responsibilities: |
| 1) Responsible for the management and implementation of the invasive species project |
| 2) Will co-ordinate the project and build and support the small project implementation team in Vanuatu. |
| Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| Criteria: |
| - Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills |
| - At least 5 years demonstrated experience in project management including planning, reporting and evaluation, and sound knowledge and understanding of invasive species issues. |
