| | World Vision Vanuatu us a child focus Christian humanitarian organization established in 1983. Its program aims to improved the welling being of the poor especially children through sustainable development, humanitarian emergency affairs (HEA) and advocacy. |
| | WVPTL has a unique multi-country structure where country programs in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon’s Islands, Timor Leste and Vanuatu come under the umbrella of one national office based in Brisbane and fully funded by Grants. |
| | The heart of World Vision's work is in helping communities build stronger and healthier relationships. World Vision helps communities help themselves. World Vision focuses on children because they are the best indicators, of a community's social health. When children are fed, Sheltered, schooled, protected, valued, and loved, a community thrives. |
| | World Vision's Activity goal for the sustainable community economic development (SCED) project os to increase agriculture-based income by 20% in 24 communities of Sanma Province in Vanuatu by 2016. Specific outcomes are: |
| | 1) A sustainable system for farmers to assess and develop market opportunities |
| | 2) Improved capacity of farmer groups in production, processing, finance and marketing increases household income by 20% |
| | 3) Farmers have increased capacity to overcome constraints to accessing market opportunities in Luganville and Port Vila |
| | 4) Contextualize and strengthen the market facilitation model for Vanuatu. This is a 5 year project that has commences on November 2011 until year 2016. |

| | Criteria: |
| | - Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity is prefered; Effective in written and oral communications |
| | - Able to speak and write with a high standard of English and Bislama is desirable |
| | - A bachelor's degree or other tertiary qualifications in Project Management / Economic Development or related subject is essential |
| | - This role requires a current driver's license & is a local hire position that reports to the Operations Manager. |
