| | GRM International and the Vanuatu Law and Justice Partnership Program (VLIP) – Stretem Rod Blong Jastis – are seeking a Monitoring Officer to work with the VLIP team and the Ministry of Justice and Community Services (MoJCS). |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Support the MoJCS and the government of Vanuatu legal sector agencies to collect and analyse baseline data and research leading to the development of policies on issues relevant to the implementation of the GoV law and justice sector strategy |
| | 2) Work with the VLIP team to provide assistance to the MoJCS in the development and implementation of effective systems to strengthen the monitoring of the law and justice sector strategy |
| | 3) Also assist the MoJCS with communications and public relations. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Have skills and capacity to work in collaborative design and implementation of research and monitoring systems; Understanding of gender and development issues relevant to the legal sector of |
| | Vanuatu; Experience in facilitating policy development processes |
| | - Hold a degree or equivalent work experience in public policy, public administration, law or a related field; Previous experience working in Melanesian culture is desirable. |
