Job Description:

The Ministry of Agriculture, Quarantine, Forestry and Fisheries wishes to recruit externally for the Department of Agriculture an experienced and qualified person to the position of Food Security Officer.

The Corporate Services of the Ministry of Agriculture will provide any person with information package containing details of the above vacancy including duties and responsibilities, reporting arrangements and a Job Application Form (PSC Form 3-2).

Interested applicant must possess the following:

Criteria:

- Have tertiary qualification in agriculture or related fields; Must have worked in agriculture or related areas for at least 3 years; Good analytical skills

- Good written and oral communication skills; Good presentation skills; Computer literate; Good understanding of or the ability to rapidly acquire a detailed understanding of agriculture & rural

development and food security issues

- English or french and bislama; Must be a good character.

Salary:

VT 1,411,200 + allowances
