| | Job Description: |
| | Youth Challenge Vanuatu is seeking for two interested candidates to undertake the position of the field staff at a voluntarily basis for a period of 2-3 months. |
| | |
| | These positions are the key facilitators of Youth Challenge Vanuatu community projects. They provide leadership, timely decision making and facilitated the learning process for a team of youth participants. |
| | The person will liaise with the community leaders including all the beneficiaries of the project and will be responsible for the overall implementation of the community development project goals, objectives and activities. Below are the main roles and responsibilities for the field staffs before, during and after the project. |
| | |
| | 1) Assist with project identification |
| | 2) Assist with site visit preparation, each field staff will work with the project manager to identify an upcoming project which they will then take ownership over |
| | 3) Participate in YCV staff trainings |
| | 4) Carryout project development- each field staff will be responsible for building rapport with their communities, writing up community and project reports to share with YCA, YCI and YCV offices, and preparing a presentation about the community and project for their volunteers |
| | 5) Conduct site visit-each field staff will travel to the project site with the project manager to prepare for the upcoming group and finalize logistical details and project details |
| | 6) Assist with volunteer logistics – arranging for group flights, accommodation, transport, etc. |
| | 7) Assist with international field staff preparations (accommodation, transport. etc.) |
| | 8) Field staff training assistance – booking space, trainers, arranging for refreshments etc. |
| | 9) Orientation – logistics (booking venue, arranging transport etc.) |
| | 10) Field staff duties on project and assist with closure logistics and preparation |
| | 11) Assist other YCV program managers as required. |

| | - Have basic understanding of community development settings |
