| | The Ombudsman invites applications for the public service post No.0901 for Director Complaints/Investigations. |
| | Duties and Responsibilities: |
| | 1) Manage the allocation of complaints to teams and investigators within the office |
| | 2) Monitor the statistics produced by the office case management system to ensure complaints are dealt with promptly by the office |
| | 3) Categorize complaints into types so that time frames for completion of a complain can be determined |
| | 4) Provide assistance and advice to other investigators in the area of mal-administration and breaches of language rights |
| | 5) Schedule and monitor public awareness meetings for the office, including schools, public institutions and the general public |
| | 6) Oversee the contact of investigation in accordance with the Ombudsman Act, including contacting investigations and report writing |
| | 7) Conduct mediation between parties. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Has university degree or diploma; Has 10 years experience in investigative work in an Ombudsman institution; Good communication skills, effective writing skills and computer literate; Good |
| | command of english and/or french and bislama |
| | - Ability to provide effective supervisory skills; Good knowledge of the public service rules; Ability to quickly understand the nature of complaints. |
