| | The Vanuatu Tourism Office requires the services of a Marketing Manager to undertake key responsibilities within their marketing department. This position is open to all Ni-Vanuatu nationals and is based in Port Vila. This position will be offered on a contract basis with a salary package to reflect the skills and experience of the successful applicant. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) The Marketing Manager is responsible to the General Manager for planning, organizing and executing the Marketing plan |
| | 2) Development and implementation of the marketing plan |
| | 3) Co-ordinating marketing and promotional activities including advertising, travel shows, trade fairs, seminars/workshops |
| | 4) Liaise with advertising agency in regards to developing new slogan/branding |
| | 5) aise with south-pacific-travel marketing division and market representatives |
| | 6) Preparation and distribution of appropriate sales promotional materials |
| | 7) Collaboration with the travel trade and airline to prepare and implement joint promotion and campaign in designated markets |
| | 8) Monitoring promotional expenditure in each marketing including trade fair attendance, collating materials, familiarization trips, brochure support |
| | Provide annual and monthly reports to the General Manager of the major activities performed |
| | 9) Other duties as directed by the General Manager. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Have considerable experience in providing leadership; A high level of customer service, planning skills; The ability to identify priorities and develop focused work plans; Previous experience and/or |
| | qualifications in a field of marketing or tourisms will be highly regarded; Must be proficient in written and spoken english and current computer software applications, applicant who also speak |
| | french will be highly regarded |
| | - Five years experience in the tourism sector at marketing; Computer literacy and good communication skills; Formal qualifications or training tourisms and/or marketing. |
