| | Job Description: |
| | The University of the South Pacific is seeking to appoint Security Officers. These position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Provide physicaly security at Emalus Campus premises and assets against trespass, theft, vandalism, threats of fires or natural disaster |
| | 2) Prevents and deters crime by observation and confrontation of unusual circumstances or individuals |
| | 3) provide secure friendly environment to University staff, clients and visitors. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Have a certificate in security services or relevant discipline OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training and professional accreditation which provides the |
| | required knowledge; Skills and abilities in security work; Have at least three years work experience, preferably in the security services |
| | - Have experience in supervising and working in a team environment; Preference will be given to applicants who are able to communicate effectively; Possess detailed observation skills, and have |
| | knowledge of security methods and the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations. |

| | Vatu 201.20 to Vatu 403.41 per hour |
