| | Youth Challenge Vanuatu is seeking for two interested candidates to undertake the position of the field staff as a voluntarily basis for a period of 3-4 months. These positions are the key facilitators of Youth Challenge Vanuatu community projects. They provide leadership, timely decision making and facilitated the learning process for a team of youth |
| | participants. The person will liaise with the community leaders including all the beneficiaries of the project and will be responsible for the overall implementation of the community development projects goals, objectives and activities. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Assist with project identification |
| | 2) Assist with site visit preparation, each field staff will work with the project manager to identify an upcoming project which they will then take ownership over |
| | 3) Participate in YCV staff trainings |
| | 4) Carry out project development-each field staff will be responsible for building rapport with their communities, writing up community and project reports to share with YCA, YCI and YCV offices, and preparing a presentation about the community and project for their volunteers |
| | 5) Conduct sit visit-each field staff will travel to eth project site with the project manager to prepare for the upcoming group and finalize logistical details and projects details |
| | 6) Assist with volunteer logistics-arranging for group flights, accommodation, transport etc |
| | 7) Assist with international field staff preparations (accommodation, transport, etc) |
| | 8) Field staff training assistant-booking space, trainers, arranging for refreshments etc |
| | 9) Orientation-logistics (booking venue, arranging transport etc) |
| | 10) Orientation-volunteer training, working with international field staff to arrange a training schedule for volunteer orientation |
| | 11) Field staff duties on project |
| | 12) Assist with closure logistics and preparation |
| | 13) Assist with post-projects monitoring and evaluation tasks |
| | 14) Assist with post-projects logistics |
| | 15) Assist other YCV program manager s as required. |

| | Criteria: |
| | - Good communication skills; Good leadership skills; Good understanding in english (written and spoken); Basic understanding of community development settings; Good organisational skills |
| | - Basic knowledge in computer. |
