| | The Vanuatu Christian Council (VCC) is the peak body of the Christian churches in Vanuatu. It serves its member churches and their congregation by providing a forum for discussion, sharing and planning on matters of mutual concern. Recently the VCC has started implementing AusAID funded projects in the areas of community-focused integrated |
| | disaster risk reduction and Vanuatu church partnerships program, focusing on strengthening management and member services and national policy engagement. The VCC seeks the services of a full-time qualified person for the position of VCC, general secretary. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Responsible and assist the chairman of the VCC in the supervision of the general work of the VCC mission and in particular the secretariat office |
| | 2) Reports to the VCC chairman and the VCC executive board |
| | 3) Assist in the general pastoral oversight of VCC in Vanuatu and with VCC partners abroad |
| | 4) Prepare agendas and related documents and record all proceedings of the VCC executive committee and business sessions |
| | 5) Present a report to all business sessions of the VCC, and the VCC executive committee |
| | 6) Assist the VCC chairman in implementing the operating policies of the VC within Vanuatu |
| | 7) Assist the VCC chairman in implementing decisions taken by the executive committee of the VCC supervising the operation of the institution of VCC, and in the direction and coordination of the activities of VCC to be implemented by the member churches as well as the VCC staff. |

| | - Must possess a recognised qualification in theology and be an ordained pastor and member of one of the member churches of the VCC; Must be a practicing Christian with a strong commitment to the |
| | churches mission; A comprehensive working knowledge of VCC and its policy directions |
| | - Proven managerial and administrative experience, qualifications and performance; Have an interest in an aptitude for differences in Christian beliefs of the member churches within VCC. |
| | Salary: |
| | A salary package of Vt 125,000 – 150,000 per month including house allowance is offered and is negotiable depending on qualification skills and experience. |
