| The University of the South Pacific, Emalus Campus is inviting applications for the position of Coordinator, USP Sub Center, Luganville Santo, Sanma Province. The appointee will work under the guidance of the campus director. The position is available for a term of three years available and may be renewed by mutual agreement. Duties and |
| responsibilities: |
| 1) Coordinate all DFL and school based programme in school in Sanma, Penama, Torba and Malampa provinces as well as in Luganville town. |
| 2) Liaise with all four (4) provincial councils and principals of secondary school in Luganville and in the provinces |
| 3) Provide counseling to students during registration and enrollment with close consultation with SASS office in Vila |
| 4) Be able to create friendly environment on campus and to exercise public relations when dealing with students and public |
| 5) Coordinate vocational training and bridging of short courses that are required to run by the center with further consultant with the CCE coordinator |
| 6) Must have the ability to organise public events such as the university open day |
| 7) Be able to manage the center office and the staff working at the center |
| 8) Able to provide close consultation with finance office at emalus campus and other sectors of the campus. |
| Criteria: |
| - A good undergraduate degree and preferably postgraduate qualification in education; Good communication skill as there will be constant direct liaison with students, tutors and course coordination |
| in Suva; Able to provide teaching and mentoring of students; High level of general computer skills |
| - Ability to work independently and as a part of a team; Administration, experience, preferably in the school environment; Relevant in teaching at tertiary level; Good knowledge of distance and flexible |
| teaching mode |
| - Sufficient negotiations skills may also be considered. |
