| | Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit three Ni-Vanuatu persons for the short-term position of language, culture and technical trainers (LCTT5). The contract will commence on Monday September 19, 2011 and will finish on Friday December 16, 2011. Selected candidates will be required to live in a village with a host family for most of the contract |
| | period. A statement of work can be obtained from the Peace Corps office, located in the Vila mall building. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) The LCTTs will provide bislama language training to the new peace corps volunteers while facilitating their understanding of Vanuatu’s culture |
| | 2) The LCTTs will also assist with the facilitation of basic technical skill competencies, specific to the volunteer assignment, therefore experience in the education, health and business development sector is advantageous. |

| | Criteria: |
| | - Successful completion of Year I2,Year 13 is preferable; Experience as a trainer, preferable in language and culture; Basic computer literacy (MS word and excel); High level fluency in english and |
| | bislama; An understanding and appreciation of Vanuatu culture and living life in a rural location; A basic working knowledge of development in one or more of the following sectors, education, rural |
| | development, health and business development |
