| | The Vanuatu National Provident Fund is undergoing major organisational restructure to improve services to its members and to make wise investment decisions in order to increase the financial returns of members contributions and securing for them a sound retirement plan a new investment division and therefore seeks to recruit a local professional |
| | with the right business background and experience for the position. The VNPF is forming a strong management team capable of managing the performance and development of its employees while remaining focused on the primary objectives of the Fund. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Reports to the General Manager and oversees the functions of property investment, financial investment and investment |
| | 2) Protect and maximise the fund’s retirement benefits to all its members |
| | 3) Ensure the Fund meets all requirements of the investment guidelines of the Act |
| | 4) Seek to increase diversification of the Fund’s investments while reducing risks and securing strong returns |
| | 5) Identify equity investments & loans that will provide secure return’ on member’s funds while contributing to the economic development of Vanuatu |
| | 6) Monitor and manage offshore investments |
| | 7) Explore the opportunities to reduce the risk of loans & equity investments by investing in projects undertaken by companies or organisations with sound business reputations and leverage off investment analysis undertaken by joint partnerships |
| | 8) Assess future property investments to provide assurance that they will provide strong returns to members based on current market lease valuations |
| | 9) Assess the financial viability and risk of proposed financial investments |
| | 10) Closely monitor the personal loan scheme to ensure that the Fund is receiving maximum returns from this investment. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Will have a degree in business, accounting and economics with a minimum of 5 years experience in a senior commercial role preferably in investment; Strong, analytical and negotiation skills; |
| | Excellent verbal and written communication, sound management skills; Proven success in leading a team in the accomplishment of business. |
